A conciliation directed by the Court may take place either in a mediation room or in a court at the Court’s building at 225 Macquarie Street, Sydney or on-site at the land with which the appeal is concerned. The Court’s direction fixing the conciliation will usually state the venue. The venue will also be stated on the Court Lists posted on the notice board in the foyer of the Court building and on the Court’s website on the afternoon on the day before the conciliation is to occur. The usual commencing time is 9.30 am. The conciliator will be a commissioner of the Court, usually with expertise in the subject matter and issues raised in the appeal.
Further information is available on conciliation.
