Mining Warden's Court matters

Prior to 7 April 2009, the jurisdiction to hear and dispose of civil proceedings under the Mining Act 1992 and the Petroleum (Onshore) Act 1991 was exercised by the Mining Warden's Court.

This is a collection of judgments of the Mining Warden from 1971 to 2009. Please note that this collection excludes reports to the minister and inquiries undertaken by the Mining Warden.

Local Court mining decisions in undetermined Mining Warden's Court matters after 7 April 2009

Although only mining matters commenced on or after 7 April 2009 fall within the Land and Environment Court's jurisdiction, the Court here publishes decisions of the Local Court given by Mr J Bailey, A/LCM, on matters which had been commenced in the Chief Mining Warden's Court prior to 7 April but not determined by that date.
