Appointment of Senior Commissioner and Commissioners

The Chief Judge is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Ms Susan Dixon as a Commissioner and as the Senior Commissioner of the Court for the period commencing 6 July 2023 and expiring on 5 July 2030, the re-appointment of Ms Danielle Dickson as a Commissioner of the Court for the period commencing 18 July 2023 and expiring on 17 July 2030, and the appointment of Ms Shona Porter as a Commissioner of the Court for the period commencing 7 August 2023 and expiring on 6 August 2030.

Ms Porter was appointed as an Acting Commissioner of the Court on 20 February 2023 before her recent appointment as a Commissioner. Ms Porter is qualified as a planner, holding a Diploma of Music from the Australian Institute of Music (2011), a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Sydney (2014), and a Micro-Credential in Leading in Local Government from the University of Technology (2022). Ms Porter has over 10 years’ applied experience in planning. Ms Porter has worked as a statutory and strategic planner with several local councils and as a planning consultant in private practice. She has led large scale urban renewal projects in strategic and local centres. Ms Porter has received awards for her planning work from government and professional planning organisations.
